MANDOLINE AFFAIRE CD LAUNCH FREE CONCERT Penny Ross - mandolin & John Jooste - guitar Music for Pleasure series Cotttesloe Civic Centre More about Penny & John	The first half will feature some early dance music from the lute repertoire of John Dowland and Michael Praetorius, a brilliant Spanish Fandango by Italian Composer Luigi Boccherini, some lively Russian balalaika music, some Irish pieces and two new arrangements of well known classical pieces by Mozart and Schumann plus more. For the second half we will be joined by Louise Elaerts on double bass for some very different music. Louise performed on some of the tracks on our ‘FIRESIDE’ CD and those of you who were at the ‘FIRESIDE’ launch in March will have seen her with us then. For those who couldn’t make that concert, this second half will give you a chance to hear some of the music from the new CD. A FESTIVAL FOR GUITARS This event is being held in Moora WA over the weekend of April 30th and May 1st. There will be competitions for performers in 7 categories including the classical guitar. A prize of $1000.00 will be awarded to the winner in each section and a grand prize of $5000.00 to an overall winner.
