Louise Elaerts will be joining us for the second half of the concert on mandolin and double bass. This allows us to perform another ‘first’ as we will be opening the second half with ‘Sinfonia’ in G by Carlo Cecere.

Rafaël Andia is one of the foremost guitarists in France today with a most impressive list of recordings and concerts. Since 1971 he has taught baroque and classical guitar and is Professeur at the prestigious École Normale de Musique in Paris. As well as being a composer himself, Rafaël has premiered several works by French composers, has compiled a collection of music "Guitarra Iberica" published in Chez Transatlantiques. He has recorded several albums, some on ancient instruments such as the complete works of Robert de Visée. His most recent release, devoted to Albéniz, has been acclaimed by the critics as "...an outstanding CD, one of the greatest guitar recordings of the decade." A recording devoted to music by Manuel de Falla was released in July 2006.
