Marathon Concert ![]() The UWA Guitar Studio celebrates the music of Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos with a relay performance of his Twelve Etudes and Five Preludes. Written for the legendary guitarist Andrés Segovia, these works remain a cornerstone of the guitar repertoire, demanding both technical mastery and deep musical sensitivity.
Rarely performed as complete sets, this program offers a sweeping journey through Villa-Lobos’ unique synthesis of Brazilian folk influences and European classical tradition, showcasing the expressive range of the guitar in the hands of UWA’s emerging performers. |
